Valerie White is an acknowledged expert in the fields of assessment and executive coaching. Prior to becoming a founding partner of Spectrum Leadership Partners, LLC, Valerie had been sought out by leading consulting firms to design, project manage and deliver large-scale assessment centers globally, chiefly in the US, Asia, and Europe. Having coached hundreds of leaders, primarily in Fortune 100 companies, Valerie has earned the reputation as an insightful, creative coach, with a wealth of expertise in cross-cultural communications, change management, team leadership and employee development. Valerie’s recently published book, First Impressions: What You Don’t Know About How Others See You (2004), draws from her years of business coaching experiences as well as her niche consulting business that has assisted hundreds of individuals in managing their personal relationships.
In addition to her broad and deep experience in coaching and assessment centers, Dr. White also partners with clients to improve their organizations’ performance, by providing tools and services that strengthen leadership talent. For example, Valerie has designed and developed tools to enhance the on-boarding process of new leaders, developed and led initiatives to help managers lead others through significant change, and worked with organizations to develop and implement succession management processes. Having worked extensively with managers around the globe, Valerie has a focused area of expertise in remote change management and global team communications, which she leverages in both her assessment center work and management consulting practice.
