Life certainly has its ups and downs, right and left turns, doesn’t it? I recently had surgery on my dominant hand, putting me in a cast for several months. I thought, “I still have to work! I still have to paint! How will I do this, without complaining?” I decided to take the proverbial bull by the horns, and teach myself to paint left handed, and learn to use the mouse with my non-dominant hand as well. It is definitely an adventure, but I am willing to see it through and hopefully create a few interesting pieces along the way. I hope to help my students learn to adapt in any situation, by showing them anything is possible, with a little determination and faith. Here is the first:
Humor is a must! I’d be lost without it.
The second, show’s I’m still a bit shaky with my left, but I’m happy with it.
And the third, inspired by my son’s dog. I love that puppy face!
Above all, I trust God for this road, I happen to be on for now. He must want me to learn something from it!
I’d love to know how you deal with life’s curve balls! Contact me, and I’ll show your tips and suggestions in my next blog post. Join my mailing list for updates on my shop, as well as my favorite design and watercolor techniques. We’re just getting started!
